Family and Friends First Aid for Children
This course teaches how to manage illness and injury in a child for the first few minutes until professional help arrives.
This program covers such topics as preventing injuries, recognizing and treating basic first aid emergencies, and relief of choking in infants. Designed for those who prefer to learn in a group environment with feedback from an instructor.
Course Length
- Infant and child: 1-2½ hours depending on number of students
Intended Audience
For those caring for infants and children, such as family members, babysitters, and others providing in-home care desiring basic first aid information. All lay rescuers, such as schoolchildren, family members of patients at risk for sudden cardiac death, and other general members of the community who want to learn CPR but do not need a course completion card.
